One common file operation is to convert a file. This could be convert to a different encoding or to a different file format.
There are of course already workarounds involving external programs or plugins made for other purposes but that's of course always possible.
An integrated way to do this would be preferred. One way would be an extra dialog. Another way could be to combine this functionality with the multi-rename tool. Or the other way round like many known converts do - provide conversion functionality and include multirenaming... I guess there are many ways.
Conversions which TC is already capable of could be handled internally. Of course plugins would expand this basic functionality with a new plugin interface.
What do you think?

Just as a sidenote, Total Converter is not a bad implementation of this concept, given the possibilities. A way to choose a packer plugin when opening a file and a 64-bit version would be very useful in this case.
Naturally, an integrated solution would be nice but with some GUI to configure and the problems above solved, I think the WCX solution would be enough for me.

Mal angenommen, du drückst Strg+F, wählst die FTP-Verbindung (mit gespeichertem Passwort), klickst aber nicht auf Verbinden, sondern fällst tot um.
