every time you execute cmd 650 you get asked if you want to enable auto check for updates.

whre is the checkbox for this getting ONLY asked ONCE?

Why is this needed? It's shown together with "Total Commander is up to date", so there is no extra dialog. And "No" is the default.

Wow. Totally OT here and sorry for hijacking the thread, but just visited the link in your sig. And here i was, thinking i was the only one in the world using this colour scheme! :) OK, mine has a yellow text colour for selected files (guess where that is coming from), but still, it's pretty close...

Normally using latest TC on:
x32: WinXPx32 SP3 (very rarely nowadays).
x64: Clients/Servers - Win10/Win11 and Win2K16 to Win2K22, mainly Win10 though.
