Hierarchy of icons in tab header

Post by *Lefteous »

When assigning an icon to the tab header using view modes it's only used when displaying other icons like 'folder properties' have been deactivated.

Is it the expected behavior? What do you think?

It's a question of prority, you can't show multiple icons at the same time...

Exactly this is what is thread is about. I really wonder if it's a good idea that the icon of the view mode has the lowest priority (I guess the order in the settings dialog represents the priority).

I think tab locking should allow setting tab icon, and this icon should have max priority.
But with folder icons and custom view icons I'm not sure. E.g. I set folder icons for folders that I want to outline visually, and these icons usually more important than custom view icons. But system default icons for some folders are not important.

Tab icons are a property of the directory now, not of the tab.
