Launching TCMD with Admin rights

Post by *CWBillow »

Is there a way to set up a command-line that would start TCMD with Admin rights -- not selecting that through Advanced properties on a shortcut, but building it into the command-line to start the program?

You can utilize RUNAS
Type 'runas /?' into an DOS-Box.

You can also use an running TC to start another instance with admin rights:

BTW, for others:

runas is a bad choice for starting elevated processes, it simply doesn't allow that.
I've written a tiny Sudo tool for such tasks.

Or copy the TC desktop link to a new link, then right click and choose "Properties". In "Advanced", you can choose to start Total Commander with admin rights.
