[9.0ß3-x64] Buttonbar dialog: Tab does not work

Post by *Flint »

1. Open Configure Buttonbar dialog.
2. Set focus to any of the following editboxes: Command, Parameters, Start path, Icon file.
3. Press Tab or Shift+Tab.
Focus does not go to the next/previous control.

OS: Win7 SP1 x64.

Actually, the problem disappears after TC restart, but after some time in running TC instance it appears again. I noticed this several times already but cannot make it show in freshly started TC. :(

Because of this, since I work constantly in TC 64-bit, I could only see it there, so I'm not sure if it happens in 32-bit version as well.

For me the Tab key works fine in this dialog all the time in the x64 version.

Not confirmed. I had this once in another dialog, but couldn't reproduce it any more. If you find out what triggers it, then please let me know.

Just for info - happened to me few times too, but I still haven't find a reason. I am also using TC 64-bit.

Will it help if I create a dump of TC process where this can be reproduced?

I still cannot find out when exactly it happen (obviously, I don't re-check buttonbar editing every 5 minutes). But when it happens once, it's "stuck" in the TC and reproduced 100% within that TC process.

No, a dump wouldn't help, sorry. I thought that it could be in the Lazarus framework, but there are no changes to that in this function since TC 8.52a.

Not the same case but I can reproduce other Tab key problem with next steps. Repetable on Win 7 64-bit and TC 9.0b4 x64.

1. Make sure that you use some Aero theme (e.g. Windows 7)
2. Run TC 9.0b4 x64
3. Switch windows theme to Classic
4. Try Tab key in file panels
- TC 9.0b4 x86 - works as expected
- TC 9.0b4 x64 - Tab key does not respond

Switching back to Aero theme doesn't help, TC's restart is necessary.
Can confirm someone else?

Note:
1. I am not sure but when I try it reproduce first time, I have to run both versions of TC (x86 and x64) in step 2.
2. TC 8.52a x86 and x64 work as expected.
