When you try to open (view) a file inside of a 7z archive, the "Pause" command is not working so you cannot suspend the unpacking process.
In order to reproduce:
- Download a 7z file from e.g.: https://winworldpc.com/library
- Browse the content of the downloaded file and try to open a .txt with the lister.
- When the progress dialog appears click on the "Pause" button.
I've tested it with TC 9.0ß12 (x64) without any plugin or config file modification after a clean install.

This can happen with solid archives when unpacking a small file near the end of the archive: TC doesn't get a callback from the 7zip dll, and therefore cannot abort unpacking.

Thanks for the answer. You are probably right and I was tested it with solid archives.
However when you click on the "Pause" button, the label of it changes to "Start" but as you said the unpacking operation continues.
This inconsistency a little misleading.
Is it possible to recognize these archives and hide/disable the "Pause" button at all?
Anyway canceling the operation is working well, there is only problem with suspending of it.
