[9.0b13] Pressing Space on symlink does not show dir size

The behaviour described in the bug report is either by design, or would be far too complex/time-consuming to be changed

[9.0b13] Pressing Space on symlink does not show dir size

Post by *redfox »

1. create a symlink to a directory
2. copy some files to the target directory
3. go to the original folder with the symlink and press Space on the symlink to count the folder size
4. you'll still see only <LNK>, instead of the target dir size

It not a bug - it depends on CopyLink and IgnoreLink settings in wincmd.ini. If you set it to copy links, or to ignore them, then they will not be counted either.

What does the CopyLink settings (I have set it to 1) to do with calculating folder size? It should work anyway.

A lot: If you treat the links as links and not as folders, they will not be counted when copying or selecting them, because they can be copied instantaneously.
