Resolve TC variables in Everything ev: search string

Post by *Horst.Epp »

As the subjext says, it would be helpful if TC expands its own variables
before the ev: search string is feed to Everything.
That helps a lot and doesn't conflict with Everythings function usage.
Windows 11 Home, Version 24H2 (OS Build 26100.4351)
TC 11.55 RC7 x64 / x86
Everything 1.5.0.1396a (x64), Everything Toolbar 1.5.5.0, Listary Pro 6.3.2.88

What variables do you mean? Something like %commander_path%? But maybe the user wants to search for that specific string? ev: means that the string is passed to everything without changing anything at all.

I mean strings like %S and %T, also %M and %N may be usefull.
I don't see a collision with files a user may search with Everything.

Ah, these are only available on buttons and in the start menu, sorry, and only in the "parameters" field. They would collide with a lot of things.
