If you click "Check for updates", you are asked if you want to receive warning of updates. The message is different if this config. is on or off:
On: "Do you want to receive automatic updates".
Off: "Do you want to stop receiving updates".
I find that setup really strange and confusing as you don't expect a change of behaviour in the message boxes.
What would be better is the following:
Have a tick box that say "Receive automatic updates" and the tick mark is there/not there depending on previous setup.
Maybe another tick box for "Ignore beta and released candidates" so that people are only warned of final releases.

TC 9.00 - Further Check For Update improvements
If you select menu "Check for updates", and an update is available, a message says:
"An update is available: 9.00a Release candidate 1".
Visit homepage to download?
There are 3 buttons: Yes, No, cancel.
I think "No" and "Cancel" do the same thing so one of these two appears redundant.

Re: TC 9.00 - Further Check For Update improvements
It may seem so, but it's intentional so that the message itself can be discarded quickly by pressing ESC. That's also (part of) the explanation for the difference in text in the message.tetardd wrote:I think "No" and "Cancel" do the same thing so one of these two appears redundant.
