Windows 10 + TC + WinAmp

Post by *sidefx88 »

I'm having a problem when try to play or enqueue MP3 / M3U files to WinAmp 5.666 on Windows 10 Pro x64 :(

It happens using Total Commander 8.51 and 8.52, maybe also on previous versions (I didn't try that).

On TC, I hit [Enter] or double-click on a MP3 file (or any other extension assigned to WinAmp) and sometimes it plays immediately, but sometimes it tooks too long (from a few seconds to several minutes ti start playing!!!)

I've tried this using the W10 File Explorer, and always works fine! the files start playing (or enqueue) immediately.

It's not a problem of WinAmp 5.666, it also happens when I try to play or enqueue a video file (I use KMPlayer 3.9 as the default video player).

Any suggestion? Is it a bug?

Thanks in advance!
I Love Total Commander!

When ENTER takes several minutes, it's an indication that DDE (dynamic data exchange) hangs because one running program isn't responding to the DDE broadcast messages. DDE is used when a program is already running, and Windows needs to pass data to it.

Might as well ask, did you also install the in_mp3.dll patch?

It might help. You can use patched last version Winamp http://www.mywinamp.com/winamp-for-windows-10-download/

KMplayer might use same libraries.
