How-to access ''Dropbox'' cloud ?
Hey everyone,
I'm a long-time user (17+ years) of TC. I was wondering if there's an easy way of getting into your dropbox account through TC. It would simplify the work substantially for me.
Thanks!

Peter,
This page can’t be displayed
Make sure the web address https://www.dropbox.com is correct.
Look for the page with your search engine.
Refresh the page in a few minutes
When I close the Window I get a dialog with the message "No access code received"
I can access the Dropbox site using a browser (Firefox)
Do you have ideas as how to fix this.
Regards,
Charles

Are you behind a proxy/firewall? Then you need to configure in in Internet Explorer(!). Why? TC uses the Internet Explorer control to show the login dialog and get the login token needed to access the dropbox.

Christian,
There is no proxy enabled in Internet Options. I'm not running any third party firewall and the error message comes up with the Windows firewall active or inactive.
Btw, I can get to the Dropbox website in Internet Explorer itself.
Should I be adding my password somewhere in the username line?
Regards,
Charles

No, it should work just fine - except when Internet Explorer is too old (e.g. old Windows version?).
In this case, you need to use the cloud plugin with integrated Chromium browser:

Chromium is the open source version of Google Chrome.

Christian,
Works nicely with small files. Doesn't work with large files. I haven't quite figured out at what file size the problem manifests itself.

Charles
FYI, I've been playing around with the Cloud plugin with integrated Chromium browser and thought I'd report on my experience.ghisler(Author) wrote:No, it should work just fine - except when Internet Explorer is too old (e.g. old Windows version?).

The cloud plugin with chromium is exactly the same as the one with IE, except for the login process.
How big are thise "large" files? And which cloud service do you use?

I'll do some more testing to figure out at what file size the problem starts. I'm seeing timeout problems with file sizes of 650 MB and up.ghisler(Author) wrote:The cloud plugin with chromium is exactly the same as the one with IE, except for the login process.
