You can find quite a few threads about thumbnails performance here in the forum and it's also in the wiki. Adding your support in one of these threads is absolutely fine and helps the author to prioritize his to-do list. I don't see how it helps to hijack your own thread which is basically about a not very well hidden setting.

I want to see the file icons Configuration-> Icon , but when turn it on again down performance.
It should not be like that!

Hm I would expect that displaying icons needs more performance than not displaying icons. Unless it's not blocking all is fine. What are your related settings?

Perfectly fine - the default is using a background thread in all cases.
