After Search -> Feed to listbox, deleting is slow because the files have to be deleted individually since they have absolute paths. Maybe you can use Ctrl+B (branch view) or Ctrl+Shift+B (branch view of selected) with a search filter to get the files?

I have also observed that file deletion from regular directories (not feed to listbox) is much slower in TC than in Explorer. Curiously, compared to Windows 2000 and Windows XP with similar configuration, deletion is about ten times faster on XP (but still quite slow). I suspect it has to do with disk cache. This isn't a significant problem for me personally. In a few cases I have switched to Explorer to delete extreme quantities of small files.
