Windows 10 | Total Commander 9.12 (32-bit) | IrfanView 4.51 (32-bit)
I have completely failed to configure TC so that it works with IrfanView so that I can view .RW2 images (Panasonic) in both Lister (F3) and Thumbnail View (Ctrl+Shift+F1).
When using IrfanView alone, all .RW2 images show perfectly.
In configuring Lister, I have tried to get TC to to use IrfanView (Configure > Options > Edit/View > Configure internal viewer). I ticked the checkbox "Use Irfanview/Xnview to load graphics other than BMP" and in the Path field, I put the path to the IrfanView exe file.
But it's no good. When I press F3 while the cursor is on a .RW2 file, I just see gobbledygook. And then, in the Lister Window, if I select Options > "4 Image/Multimedia", it makes no difference to what is displayed.
And in trying to configure Thumbnails (Configure > Options > Thumbnails), I ticked the checkbox "Get from Irfan-/Xnview" and typed in "*.RW2" in the field to the right. Again, all I see for .RW2 files is the default Windows Photo app logo in place of the image.
I have scoured this forum but am now completely stuck. I suspect I am missing something simple but I can't see what it is. Please help if you can.

Ah - perfect!! THANK YOU so much, Hacker (Roman). I am now able to view *.RW2 files in TC in both Lister and Thumbnails.wincmd.ini - [Lister] - IviewAdditionalTypes=*.rw2
Now that you have pointed me to this, I see that it IS mentioned in the "Ini file Settings - Part 2" of TC's Help. My trouble was not knowing where to look. Thanks again.
