Directory Name not shown in real case

Post by *hit_the_lights »

Hi,

I never know the real directory name in the filepanel:

examples:
real dir name is "svn", Total Commander => "svn" (ok)
real dir name is "Svn", Total Commander => "Svn" (ok)
real dir name is "SVN", Total Commander => "Svn" (not ok)

I need to know the exact written (Upper, lower case) of the name.
Else I have always to open cmd and start dir command, to verify the directory name (or Explorer)

How can I adjust that, that the directory names are always displayed in proper case? I didn't find any option in settings.

thanks,

Hello hit_the_lights,
Configuration - Options - Display -Show old 8.3 filenames lowercase (like explorer).

Mal angenommen, du drückst Strg+F, wählst die FTP-Verbindung (mit gespeichertem Passwort), klickst aber nicht auf Verbinden, sondern fällst tot um.

Hello Roman,

thank you very much, that was it.

"Display -Show old 8.3 filenames lowercase (like explorer)" was checked.

I unchecked it and everything is fine.
