There's a little bug in Total Commander: it lets you 'cd' into a directory with forward slashes, but if you go to the parent directory from it, it hops back to the original directory.
For example:
I'm in the directory "C:\a\b"
I type "cd ../d"
Now the current directory field shows "C:\a\b\../d"
When I go one step back (enter the '..' directory), then it hops back to "C:\a\b"
Why don't we all act silly for a while, just like me?
Indeed forward slashes aren't currently handled internally by TC, but the paths like "C:\a\b\../d" work in some operating system functions, that's why you still get a file listing...
