open some folder in "Synchronize directories" dialog box
Image: https://i.paste.pics/bd644dc8872bcd305c53fc21147b7aba.png
Is it possible to quckly (a couple of clicks) open directory from this list?
Need to go in this directoriy (with many subfolders) to view (manualy compare) files.
It would be preferable to open directory both in Windows Explorer and in Total Commander
Thank you

No, this is currently not possible. There have been suggestions to implement such a feature IIRC.

Here I have created a video (00.01.28).
If you are interested in how to do that, let me know.

Mal angenommen, du drückst Strg+F, wählst die FTP-Verbindung (mit gespeichertem Passwort), klickst aber nicht auf Verbinden, sondern fällst tot um.
Re: open some folder in "Synchronize directories" dialog box
Hmm, in my case the video plays smoothly in Microsoft EDGE on Chromium basis as well as in Firefox 80.0 (32 bit).
I can still offer you a download link (Website and download description in German language).

Re: open some folder in "Synchronize directories" dialog box
I strongly support, there should be a non geeky TC internal solution for accessing a file or folder from the sync tool.

Yes, this is my 'test scenario' and first step (the video is opened in EDGE by default) before I publish the link in the forum.Hacker wrote: 2020-08-28, 13:15 UTC tuska,Even when you are logged out of OneDrive?in my case the video plays smoothly in Microsoft EDGE on Chromium basis as well as in Firefox 80.0 (32 bit).

As an additional step I open the link in the preview of the forum post - only then I publish my post.
Re: open some folder in "Synchronize directories" dialog box
OK, I think there is nothing more coming from the threadstarter (just like with another post).
Just for the purpose that one day the link to the video might not be available anymore...

REQ: Total Commander 10 and Directory Sync
Below is a description of the video - step-by-step instructions (at least 4 steps are required):
- Tool 'Textify': CTRL + click with the right mouse button [changeable]
Copy the part of the path displayed in Total Commander in the "Synchronize directories" window to the clipboard
- using the tool "Textify" - (-> in Textify mark the partial path!).
In the tool Textify I currently use the shortcut: CTRL + click with the right mouse button [changeable].Tool "Textify" (Settings, Button in TC, etc. ...)
Textify is a tool which allows to select and copy text from many places in Windows where it’s not possible otherwise.
This includes error messages, dialogs, lists, and even elements of the taskbar. ... integrating web services with Textify.
Textify could then be used for quick actions such as translating text, searching the web, looking up a word in a dictionary, ...
Here is a demonstration (.gif)
Main link of Textify: https://rammichael.com/textify
BUTTON in Total CommanderTC-Button with command: %COMMANDER_PATH%\Tools\Textify\Textify.exe -hidewnd (adjust path if necessary)Code: Select all
TOTALCMD#BAR#DATA %COMMANDER_PATH%\Tools\Textify\Textify.exe -hidewnd %COMMANDER_PATH%\Tools\Textify\Textify.exe Textify - Copy text [autom.] from dialog boxes|https://rammichael.com/textify|Textify.exe -hidewnd (Start -> Systray)|CTRL+right mouse button, [Mark text], again CTRL+right mouse button(!)|or 'ESC' inserts the marked area into the clipboard! -1
starts Textify and the program icon is immediately displayed in the taskbar (vulgo System Tray)
if in the file Textify.ini in section [config] -> hide_tray_icon=0 is set.
If desired, you can create a shortcut with this parameter in the autostart folder by specifying the absolute path.
WITHOUT the parameter -hidewnd a Textify window and task is displayed in the taskbar after calling Textify.exe.
Only when you close the window with "X" the program icon is displayed in the System Tray.

INSTALLATION of a new version (using the example "textify_setup_1-8-2.exe"):
0) For program update/upgrade: For safety reasons, make a COPY of Textify.ini
and WebApp.ini --> Backup!
1) execute .exe and select "portable" by dropdown possible
2) Copy path in TC, e.g: C:\Tools\Textify\
3) and put it in the Textify installation mask, OK
4) DONE and settings are preserved(!)
This topic is also available in German language. - Tool 'Everything': CTRL + F11 (system-wide shortcut!)
