Hey guys,
so I just reinstalled my Win 11 and now Total Commander shows it's default settings. However, I do have wincmd.ini & wcz_ftp.ini up to date in the totalcmd folder. How do I tell Total Cmd to take those INI's into consideration? I was expecting it to do it automatically like it used too.
Thanks

Under [Configuration] section add (or change) line:
OR run TC using such a shortcut
- assuming your installation directory for TC is "C:\TOTALCMD\"
Code: Select all
UseIniInProgramDir=7
Code: Select all
C:\TOTALCMD\TOTALCMD.EXE /I=C:\TOTALCMD\WINCMD.INI /F=C:\TOTALCMD\WCX_FTP.INI
Re: New win install, TotalCmd shows default settings
Nice. Worked with that UseIniInProgramDir=7.
Thanks
Thanks

Re: New win install, TotalCmd shows default settings
Important: TC 10 now uses c:\Program Files\Totalcmd as the default installation path. If you use UseIniInProgramDir=7, you will not be able to save anything when running TC with normal user rights. You can use Alt+Enter on the wincmd.ini and grant yourself full access if you want to use this method. Or put your old wincmd.ini where TC expects it: See menu Help - About Total Commander.
