Changing file list font on the fly

Post by *9kvD38n6 »

Would love to have a shortcut / button / command line option to cycle through three different font styles for the file list:
  1. a UI font (e. g. Segoe UI Variable Display) as the default, most readable option for general use
  2. a smaller condensed font to display as many characters per column as possible for very long file names etc.
  3. a monospaced font to best compare certain sections of neighbouring file names.
Going through the font configuration dialog each time to switch back and forth just seems too much trouble.

Did a preliminary search of the forum and it seems this is not currently possible. Please correct me if I'm wrong.

Thanks for considering

It is not possible, but it is a very reasonable and useful request.

I think the best way for implementing is to add the possibility for choosing font in the view modes.

Thanks for agreeing it is useful.

As per a workaround, I guess a search and replace ("grep") could be done on the font name in the .ini file and TC restarted...
