Save position of locked folder tabs?

Post by *wgp »

Is it possible to keep my locked folder tabs at the beginning of the tab list? The tabs I use the most keep moving around so that they're difficult to find. I can use "Close All" to clean things up but that's an extra step.

Thanks

Only if you use a single line of tabs. With multiple lines, Windows itself always shows the line with the active tab at the bottom, so the tab is "connected" with the tab sheet.

Thanks for the reply ghisler. I switched to a single line but the locked tabs still don't stayed at the front of the list. Unlocked tabs still popped up in between the locked tabs.

But I think I found the answer. I unchecked "Open tabs near current tab." Now the tabs for the folders I use most stay at the beginning of the list so I don't need to search for them.

I've been using Total Commander for many years and I'll bet it's saved me hundreds of hours! Especially with the flexibility of renaming files. It's a wonderful program.

Many thanks and all the best!
