Find Files dialog box file sizes display settings

Post by *DRP535 »

Is there a way of getting the Find Files display box to display the selected file sizes at the bottom of the window in dynamic (x.xx k/M/G/T) format instead of just bare bytes?

AFAIK there is not. But after feeding the search results to the list custom columns can be used, with all their possibilities.

Shame. Thanks for response. Just wanted a very quick way of seeing approximate sizes at a glance. Not worth lots of post processing to work out.

If there is a grouping character between every 3 digits, you can see an approximate count of decimal megabytes easily. The difference between 1000 and 1024 only grows significant in the gigabyte range.

Yeah I'm in the GB range the majority of time when I need to quickly compare file sizes
