(solved)[off-topic] win 11 cursor is out of position on some screens

this happens on photoshop as well as TC so not convinced its a TC issue but asking on both help forums

cursor is out of position on some screens - all fine on main window but some secondary screens have problems

example

click on 'net' on top buttons then 'network connections' window opens look at 2 boxes drive and folder - down chevron on right of either box - position cursor over either chevron and left click mouse - NOTHING HAPPENS - move mouse cursor down slowly until window highlites and click on lef mouse button and box opens as it should

so functionally perfect just the click position wrong

i have this on 2 different laptops updated from win10 [which worked] perfectly - one install is a clone of the other so if its me then its carried across

next is a clean install but asking [first] if anyone else has seen this

well a clean install of 11 solved the problem - all is as it should be - now to try and work out whats causing it on the upgraded install of 11 - dont want to lose that install - too much work to rebuild all the software thats on it
