On a few occasions recently while FTPing a file to my site on the server, the file name has been changed, for example, "xyzKK.php" (local) to "xyzkk.php" (as shown on the server). Is there some where in the configuration (or elsewhere) that I need to set so that the file which is being FTPd is named on the server the same as on the local computer ie the mix of upper and lower case file name is preserved?

Directly on upload dialog window - uncheck "Convert file names to lowercase" - http://gral.y0.pl/tc/ftp.png
P.S. note that the default setting is not to convert names, so you have had to change this in the past.

Thanks for your reply. Unfortunately I can't find the "Upload dialog window" to which you refer despite clicking on your link to see what I am to look for..
My installation is Version 10. Which tab do I need to go to to find that dialog window, please.

How you send files to FTP? Probably by "F5" shortcut - "Upload" for ftp is equivalent of "Copy" for local file system.
Even if you are using the mouse, you will see this window too.

Sorted. Thanks. To copy or upload i am in the practice of hightlighting the relevant file/s and dragging them over to the opposite side: I haven't used the process you have told me.
