Custom background color for drive buttons

Seeing how this cannot be done, would the type of control used allow assigning custom background colors to drive buttons on a per-letter basis. This would make it easier to spot certain drives for quicker access.

Hi, I was wondering if this is possible?
To set a colour for a drive button based on its name or drive letter or drive letter range even perhaps?
Or by type, e.g. usb, versus hard drive etc
