Make icons better to understand their meaning (synchronize dirs)
When using 'Synchronize directories':
icons under the Show: (Files to copy from left to right, Equal files, Unequal files, Files to copy from right to left) can be very hard to distinguish if they are selected or not (and because monitors have different settings). I mean how to tell if 'equal files' will be shown or not. I have to click all the buttons many times to see if the results displayed are those I need. Maybe changing the icons and/or adding more info below these icons. See examples:

Re: Make icons better to understand their meaning (synchronize dirs)
Visibility has been improved since version 10.50. Which version are you using?
Re: Make icons better to understand their meaning (synchronize dirs)
The latest 10.51. Visibility strongly depends on monitor qualitiy and monitor settings.

Really? The same buttons are in TC 9.0a.white wrote: 2022-10-08, 10:24 UTC Visibility has been improved since version 10.50. Which version are you using?
There's enough place to use larger buttons (with 24 pix icons).
There is also possibility to use flat icons as for button bars and drive bars.

It's from TC 64 bit in Windows 10, I guess? Test TC 32-bit in Windows XP.

Yes, it seems the change was for Windows 11 only:
HISTORY.TXT wrote: 10.11.21 Fixed: Windows 11: Non-flat buttons look almost the same when down and up -> use flat buttons for pressed drive bar buttons, and for all "synchronize dirs" buttons (32/64)
Re: Make icons better to understand their meaning (synchronize dirs)
I prefer text to be displayed below the button or an 'x' or checkmark on the icon if text is not an option. I really don't like icons - I'm sure I'm not the only one to prefer text.

Re: Make icons better to understand their meaning (synchronize dirs)
For me these icons are enough meaningful. It takes much more place to replace them with descriptions.
It's just hard to distinct the button state for some Windows versions/compositions. Do you have similar problems with buttons on button bars or on drive bars?

I provided an example with text so there is no difference regarding the size.Usher wrote: 2022-10-10, 13:07 UTCIt takes much more place to replace them with descriptions.

I don't use buttons on button bar because they are - icons (so makes no problems for me). As mentioned in one of my previous post: I prefer text over icons. And with this buttons I have to scroll over to see a tool tip - this is not for me. No problems with drive buttons/letters on drive bar because I use them very rarely (I use ALT-F1/ALT-F2 most of the time).

Re: Make icons better to understand their meaning (synchronize dirs)
Looks like you don't understand what I said. You haven't replaced icons on buttons with their DESCRIPTIONS (seen when hovering buttons with mouse). You have added separate info for STATE of buttons instead.
Once again - for me meaning of buttons is obvious:
-> (from left) to right
= equal (the same)
/= not equal (different)
<- (from right) to left
It's enough to read the button descriptions once. When you click any button, it will change it's state - and it's pretty well visible for buttons on drive bar or button bar in Windows XP with flat icons set. For unknown reasons there are no flat buttons in "Show" box in "Synchronize dirs" dialog.
The problem is that the descriptions stay the same for both button states. However, I would rather read opinion of some blind / visually impaired people which use screen readers to get info about button state.
