no Editor key
From Help (Ini File Settings part 1: Configuration A-M):
Editor=notepad.exe Default editor for F4
Options with a default value may not exist in the wincmd.ini.

Didn't you know that options in ini files are called keys?

I understand, but I have underlined the part that doesn't correspond to this. I think for so many years, the author has learned how to check the behavior of TC without any settings.

I strictly prefer only GUI editing of options so the me the using of word "key"
gives me much more correlations with "keyBOARD" sub-element rather than
with "key of INI structure"...

The essence of the matter is in habit((

Strictly? A significant part of the ini keys don't have their own GUI settings.

No one argues. In theory, this should be a reminder to the author about what is NECESSARY
to make a normal & new GUI to support customizations for Settings. But he ignores this.
And in 99% of cases, if I need to edit something, then only what has a GUI binding

This should be fixed in Total Commander 11.50 beta 1, please check it!
15.02.24 Fixed: cm_Edit with parameter /CGL0N="<[P].txt" didn't work correctly (some placeholders like name or path couldn't be handled) (32/64)

ghisler(Author) wrote: 2024-08-21, 07:06 UTC You can call this a bug because TC doesn't check for parameters on paste, but that's just because it expects a button to be pasted after it was copied by the user, which would include the line -1. I will add this extra check also to the paste function for users who incorrectly share the copied button.
[TC11.50b1] Checked — added.
