[TC11.55rc5] Verify checksum windows not closed, but hidden

Post by *white »

On 32-bit TC, when you close the Verify checksums window using the Close button or pressing Esc, the window will be closed. But using other methods (X button, Alt+F4) will hide the window, not close it.
On 64-bit TC, the Verify checksums window is always hidden when closed. Every time you choose Verify checksums, a new window is added.

To see the hidden windows, you can use one of these:
WinSpy++ (easiest)
WinLister (Nirsoft)
System Informer

Confirmed. For unknown reasons, Delphi and Lazarus set the close action to caHide instead of ca Free in this case. Other dialogs and standalone windows don't seem to be affected...

This should be fixed in RC6, please test it!
09.06.25 Fixed: Closing "Verify checksums" via Alt+F4 or X button didn't free the dialog box (32/64)

You did not read my report good enough, or perhaps I wasn't clear enough. I said:

That includes using the Close button or pressing Esc, which is not fixed in TC 11.55rc6 64-bit.

Sorry, I missed that, didn't expect any differences between 32-bit and 64-bit here.

Did you at least check the other cases?

Yes, I checked everything. What you fixed tested OK.

Thanks, then I will apply this fix also to these two cases.

Tested OK using private version TC 11.55rc6a 64-bit.

Thread can be moved to fixed bugs.
