You can easily use INTERNAL 7-zip packer to create ZIP archives.

It doesn't address the issue, though, plus - for me - those exact settings result in

I have tc7z64.dll and tcbit7z64.dll in the TC folder.

So it's NOT the internal 7-Zip packer, but the "7z" check is so that it uses 7-Zip switches, got it. That's fine, I can work with that.

Still leaves a strange bug with Total7Zip, though.

Right, it's not internal packer, it's internal function to pack to zip with 7z packer.
