1. Make a list using Diskdir plugin.
2. Change one of the files that are in this list and save it.
3. Your original file's date was 14 Feb 2005. After you made some changes and saved it, it has a new date: let's say 16 Feb 2005.
4. Since the list file (lst) doesn't update itself, it still contains the date of your old original file (14 Feb 2005).
5. Do some operation (pack or copy to another directory) with the file in your list.
6. The file copied or packed doesn't have the new date (16 Feb), but the old one (14 Feb), even if it's the new one (saved after changes).
So, you risk to lost some data you have introduced in your file or even to mix up everything. That's why this plugin should be updated, as I asked before, allowing file/pack updates.
The new plugin TCBurner will be able to use list files made with Diskdir. This behavior could be inconvenient or even dangerous.
Just my 8 cents...

Re: Warning: Diskdir dangerous behavior, Will Robinson!!
To clarify this a little: as shortly discussed in another thread, I can add support in that a while Diskdir created list file can at once be added to a Data project (or otherwise treated as a file list, maybe also for Audio projects etc.). But copying single files directly from a Diskdir list to a TCBurner project will quite probably not work due to lack of support of such an operation by TC.JP wrote:The new plugin TCBurner will be able to use list files made with Diskdir.
Though I didn't get any further feedback on this matter so far; neither if my assumption that TC doesn't support that is correct, nor if my alternate proposal is wished for.
