Diskdir plugin: how to update lst files?

Post by *JP »

I’m trying to use Diskdir plugin to make a kind of backup list (to compress files, etc.). It works fine, but when I try to update the list (opening the lst file and trying to copy other files into it) I get an error message: Error packing files!). Is there a way to update the list whitout having to recreate the lst file from zero or to edit the list in notepad?

TIA

Unfortunately the diskdir plugin doesn't currently support the modification of list files, sorry. I can provide the sources (in Delphi) if anyone would like to modify the plugin, I'm unfortunately too busy to do that now, sorry.

Is there someone here who could update this plugin? It would be very useful (at least for me :D )

Maybe I'm wrong, but DiskdirExtended has the same behavior, i.e. you can't update existing archives and the archives you've created are not updated automaticaly when a file listed are saved/updated.

The Differnce is:
- DiskDir was created by Christian who has no time
- DiskDirExtended was written Peter Trebaticky whom you can write
to insert the things you want (the chance there is bigger than waiting for
Chris :D )

2nd Icfu wrote on http://www.totalcmd.net/plugring/diskdir.html
DiskDir 1.1 2.11.2004 - 03:53
DiskDir is obsolete:

I have sent the diskdir sources to a user who has offered to modify it. Maybe we will see a new plugin soon!
