TC PlugMan not up to date ?
Apparently this nice utility can't handle the new zip-with-install format of plugins.
An error-message occurs, saying that no plugins were found in the content.

No, it handles PlugInst.inf file, if it exists in archive.Sam Zen wrote:Apparently this nice utility can't handle the new zip-with-install format of plugins.

Maybe you have stange configuration? Pls send me by email (atorg_yandex.ru) your config (TC path, plugin folder path, Wincmd.ini)...
Regards,
No, I have a very unstrange config : default TC-dir, plugins dir and ini in prog dir.
It happened with 'wlx_synus.zip' which has the appropriate "pluginst.inf" inside nevertheless.
But I see no spaces in this process here either. After SynUs is installed, Plugman recognize it though.
For this reply, I removed the wlx and tried it again with PlugMan, but again an error-message..
Regards. Sam.

What dirs?Sam Zen wrote:No, I have a very unstrange config : default TC-dir, plugins dir and ini in prog dir.
I just downloaded SynUs 1.6 (wlx_synus.zip), Plugman installed it...It happened with 'wlx_synus.zip' which has the appropriate "pluginst.inf" inside nevertheless.

(I have TC dir "C:\Totalcmd")
@Alextp:
Thanks for the fix, works fine now.
Problems/feature proposals:
I just installed http://www.totalcmd.net/plugring/wdx_global_diz.html using your plugin. Unfortunately the archive contains a subfolder and therefore it's installed in \Plugins\WDX\global_diz\wdx_global_diz\ which is rather annoying.
1. Please ignore the folder structure and only copy all stuff in the directory where the .wXx is in and give the folder the name of the filename.wXx.
2. Any chance for TC_plugman to be started by parameter? For example I'd like to create a button or shell entry that will transfer archive to TC_plugman without the need to extract it first or open it from inside TC_plugman.
I hope you will think it over, thanks in advance.

I have TC dir "c:\totalcmd".
Plugin dir : "c:\totalcmd\plugins"
Sorry not to have mentioned it, but it was also with version 1.6 of SynUs.
To be sure, I just now uninstalled SynUs 1.6 with PlugMan again, removed the SynUs-files from the wlx-subdir and tried again. Same error appeared. 'No pluginfile inside', while a *.wlx file is present in the zip.
But after this,I read your thread about version 1.7.6, so I suppose all's fine by now.
But after that, I DL'd ver 1.7.6 and the same problem appeared. Is it the name of TC's ini-file maybe ?
Mine is located and (still ?) called :
c:\totalcmd\wincmd.ini
Clever detection of : me starting PlugMan from inside TC by the way.

Unpacking
It cannot unpack archive if WinRAR not found. Have you WinRAR installed (goto www.rarlab.com)?Sam Zen wrote:To be sure, I just now uninstalled SynUs 1.6 with PlugMan again, removed the SynUs-files from the wlx-subdir and tried again. It requires Winrar or rar.exe/unrar.exe/pkunzip.exe/unzip.exe.
Regards,
Well, you should write to author of Global_diz, about this folder structure.icfu wrote:I just installed http://www.totalcmd.net/plugring/wdx_global_diz.html using your plugin. I dont want to ignore folder structure.
Hmm, what parameter you need? To open archives? Well, it's not Winrar/Winzip, it can only unpack/install plugins, not to "open" them...2. Any chance for TC_plugman to be started by parameter? What's wrong with a checkmark to let the user decide to ignore the folder structure? In the end I do exactly the same manually when extracting the archive, moving the folder to the destination and double click wXx, it just wastes time, that's why I would prefer an option in TC_plugman.

I don't wanna discuss the folder structure with plugin developers because honestly I have better things to do than wasting my time for annoyances like that. During the last time there are more and more plugins without any english documentation so I doubt that those authors will understand or show any interest in what I am talking about anyway.Well, you should write to author of Global_diz, about this folder structure.

I mean a parameter equivalent to pressing "Install from archive" so I can perform "TC_plugman.exe /install blabla.zip /ignore folder structure". Maybe it's possible to give me a choice to manually change the parameters you transfer to WinRAR when extracting?Hmm, what parameter you need? To open archives?
