Edit current directory

Post by *Munango-Keewati »

Does a single LMB click on the current directory field (above the file list) still make that field editable in 6.51?

If so, what could be blocking this functionality on my machine? Is there an option somewhere?

Thanks in advance.

Have you checked your settings for InplaceRename and InplaceRenamePath in your wincmd.ini?

That did it. Thanks very much. I didn't even have an InplaceRenamePath setting.

Is there a keystroke that would allow you to edit the current directory field rather than using the single click? I have to do this quite a bit and a keystroke would speed things up tremendously for me. Thanks in advance!

You can assign one:
- Configurations ->Options... -> Misc:
- (o) Hotkey
- [x] Alt UP
-Command: cm_EditPath
- press the green check mark button
- close the diaolg.

Use <Alt+Up> to edit the path

Alternative:
- Go to the [..] top list entry
- Press <Shift+F6>
