Move to Archive

Post by *OUrm7Vo2 »

Is there a setting to allow moving to archive if the files to be archived are read only?

When I try I get "Error creating Zip!... Could not delete one or more of the files - they might be write protected!"

No, this is disabled for security reasons, sorry.

1. What is the security risk?
2. The message "Error creating Zip" is a misnomer since the zip file is clean with no errors?

Normally files are marked as "read only" for a reason, so something may break when you remove them.

That is true. But TC allows to move or delete such files. Even without any confirmation dialog, if user disables it. So how is moving to an archive different from moving to anywhere else? I think the confirmation dialog would be enough.
