Well, I finally found that it was really WinRAR's settings, thanks again Sir_SiLvA for the right direction!
It's the key:

Code: Select all

[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\WinRAR\Extraction\Profile]
"UnpToSubfolders"=dword:00000001
On my work computer it equals 1, on my home computer there is no such key at all.

BTW, though I found this key, I still can't find how this can be changed in WinRAR GUI. I definitely have not created this "Profile" key in the registry by myself. :D

Parameters->Second tab->Second tick from the bottom.

Does not work. Moreover, it was ticked on my home computer - and files unpacked without adding new subdirs (when unpacking from TC I mean). Also I checked, this checkbox does not change the registry key that I mentioned above.

It MUST work, because it is meant to do the same as what happens at your work.
If it doesn't why to have it? What it does?

I suppose, it works for unpacking only from inside WinRAR GUI, not for command-line calls.
