Faster search
Is it possible to have a faster search?
Like an indexed cache that it would search first, then if it wouldn't find
what is what looking for, it falls back to the standard search?
Optional of course.
I have huge data that i search through a few times a day, and it takes some time to go through it.
Any suggestions?

Don't think TC can do database/cache, but if you search that often, how about Locate32? -> http://www.uku.fi/~jmhuttun/english/softwares.shtml
I know it's not the same as having this built-in TC, but it's a great application, nonetheless

Network search?
Tried it and i should have said that i have all my data on a network.
Locate32 seems to been built for local disks only.
Tried to install it on the server and indexed it, works fine there, but i
need a client to use all the features of the program.
Opened the program from the client computer and had access to the database and all the search results, but i could do nothing with the results, only see what it found.
Thanks anyway!

There have been multiple discussions about having such a search integrated in TC. I read the past dicussions and wrote the results as a suggestion in our Wiki: http://www.ghisler.ch/wiki/index.php/Faster_search
This is one of my most wanted features for TC 7.5 or TC 8!

The trick is when you are making the index for server, not to point the path locally, but through a network path.
Ex. instead od "X:", put "\\compname\X:",
This way any client on the network can access the files.
