Not confirmed, XP SP2.

AppendLnk=0 or missing setting creates file.lnk.
AppendLnk=1 creates file.ext.lnk.

This is the default. To see the extension, add the flag "1"!

• I guess you misunderstood, this is clearly explained in the start message :
- Missing or "0", I DO NOT get the simple *.LNK extension, but always the double one I DO NOT want for !
In my INI :

…AlwaysToRoot=0
AppendLnk=0
AutoComplete=0
AutoInstallPlugins=0
…

- I run Win XP-Pro SP1 (French¦English) and use the local menu entry to make a LNK short cut.

Strange, I cannot confirm that. How did you try to create the link(s)? With Ctrl+Shift+F5?

Ah, I see - in this case, it's the Explorer which creates the links, and I have no influence on the naming.

Thanks, useful to hear ! That works with the internal command.

- I'll add a note in the Tutorial about this - we are just making an urgent update for the French speaking users-.

- So, we would recommend to set a button for the command cm_CreateShortcut (1004) in such a case.
- However, there is a snag : from that command, the short cut is always created in the opposite panel -that is often unwanted and annoying- while the Explorer (from the menu) makes it in the current active folder…
- I don't see any similar command in the INC able to create the short cut in the same panel I'm working in.
