[Bug?] TC seems to affect my Logitech mousedriver

Post by *AlleyKat »

Really weird problem - last couple of days TC seems to be interfering with my Logitech drivers on occation, eliminating the mouse accelleration settings when TC is active. Restarting TC seems to fix the problem. Only thing I've updated the last weeks is TC itself, Syn v0.7 and Imagine beta12. Using the plugins doesn't seem to affect it, but it often happens when I'm using or has been using FTP.

The mouse driver is the Logitech Mouse Control Center v. 9.79.025, mousedriver version 9.79. The mouse is a Cordless Mouseman Wheel (actually the mouse from the Cordless Desktop Pro, but now mouse only).

Any ideas?

[Edit] Just found out that the driver has a built-in game detection system, which makes me think it's the drivers fault. I've deactivated it and am still testing.

TC only reads mouse settings, it doesn't write any settings. So you are probably right that there is a problem with the driver.

The Logitech Advanced Settings Utility
http://www.logitech.com/index.cfm/downloads/software/AT/EN,CRID=1793,contentid=6003,OSID=1,softwareid=6819
lets you disable these invisible settings. I think that's what happened, haven't had problems since setting it Off. I've yet to see how that affects my games... :)

They might be using some window-caption logic: saw a word "commander" - so it's a game ;)
