Search using regex in Lister: GONE?

The behaviour described in the bug report is either by design, or would be far too complex/time-consuming to be changed

Search using regex in Lister: GONE?

Post by *astrotzky »

It seems the regex checkbox on the left of the ok button on the search dialog (Ctrl+F / F7) in Lister is missing.
Please tell me this is a minor thing that got overlooked and will be fixed before the 7.0 release !
That functionality is really needed!

Hm, can't confirm. Nothing's missing here.

Here neither. Perhaps you are using a plugin?

Mal angenommen, du drückst Strg+F, wählst die FTP-Verbindung (mit gespeichertem Passwort), klickst aber nicht auf Verbinden, sondern fällst tot um.

Yes, astrotzky,
in Lister press "1"-key on keyboard first to switch to "text only" (this for not using any plugins)
and then try an another search.

It seems that is missing for Unicode and UTF-8 view options in Lister.
TC for Linux please!

I was going to post that too :D.
I had an xml file with encoding="UTF-8" so Lister automatically selected UTF-8 option.
I thing the used regexp library (TRegExpr) doesn't support Unicode/UTF-8, so nothing to do for Mr. Ghisler (maybe just using another library)
