color of current-directory bar

tc is still using system colors for active titlebar and inactive titlebar to draw the path bar although windows doesn't use them (when themed) for the last 5 years.

since tc is getting a makeover in version 7, it should not keep one dark-gray and one navy-blue panel in the middle of luna (or vista's) interface...

it would be nice if those panels were drawn in ButtonFace-color. or if inverted cursor is on, active half can be drawn in cursor color / cursor text color and inactive half in button face / button text.

frankly, i'd prefer them both in button face color (ever since i have xp, i keep both titlebar colors set to button face color) and (in that case) they should be affected by "xp theme background" checkbox, along with drive combobox above it (maybe i should've started a separate thread for that last point, as it is almost a bug to me).

In XP (I don't know about Vista) you can still set the colors for the active and inactive title bar in the Advanced section of the Appearance setup:

So even with a Luna theme you don't have to live with a dark gray and a navy-blue titlebar:

in fourth paragraph (between parenthesis) i said i've been doing that for the last couple of years. you should read slower...

i just think it's time i (we) stop doing that. commander should not force those two colors anymore.

petermad's screenshots are very informative for users who don't even know, that you have to change the desktop settings for active/inactive window (and font) color. These colors are taken to draw the active and inactive titlebar in Total Commander.

Sounds logically to me.

Since you have posted it here, i may suggest you to make a screenshot of how it looks now and another (fictional) how it should look like.

commander should not force those two colors anymore.

Like always: A nice feature, but please configureable.
