Cancel open file/dir with one click after specified period

Post by *ts4242 »

when set the option "open file/dir with one click" sometimes i press the the mouse button but i want to cancel the operation before release the button

so it will be convenient if this operation canceled if the mouse button not released after specified period

Well, just start drag&drop, and then cancel it with ESC.

sometimes i do this and sometimes i cancel the operation by drag the file/dir to none dropped area
but i think adding timing to cancel it will be more convenient

Hello,

Regarding the single click option I have a suggestion that, in my humble opinion, would provide a better functionality.

One could single click start in the first half of the row and only focus in the second half.

|Filename | Ext | Date | Attr |
--------------------------------------------
| Single Click Start | Focus |

In this way we could use plugins like VisualDirSize without any inconvenience.

Knowing the clicking position is already implemented in the path box. So I think it would be easily done. :D

Doesn't work here in single-click mode,
Whereas it works as expected in double-click mode.

I just drag and drop it to itself. It will cancel the action and will give focus as wanted.

Another workaround is to select with right click. At least works for renaming: Selecting with right click and pressing F2 (remaped).
