Can I close all lister windows?
Hello everyone
Just done a quick search, and can't find if there's an way to close all lister windows - after viewing a few different files in multiple directories several times over, I'm left with a load of lister windows open and have just browsed through the available commands but can't find one that says "Close all" (or even close one)
It's quicker to close & restart TC than to hunt down all my lists - must be a better way, surely?
Thanks
Phil

I faced this problem many times before therefore i have created a little program to close all lister windows, if you like you can try it
Nice general solution, thanks.white wrote:Hold down the Ctrl key and click all the Lister occurrences on the task bar.
BTW, using this the maybe active lister window must not be clicked, because this would remove the marker from the other windows (Win2k SP4).
Who the hell is General Failure, and why is he reading my disk?

That's indeed the fastest way, e.g. by using one of the Total Commander restarter tools from www.totalcmd.net .It's quicker to close & restart TC than to hunt down all my lists - must be a better way, surely?

Not meaning to be overly picky, but this won't reconnect to an FTP site.. so:
Perfect, thanksts4242 wrote:I faced this problem many times before therefore i have created a little program to close all lister windows, if you like you can try it

But not very helpful if there a long-time running processes (file transfer ...) in the background.ghisler(Author) wrote:....That's indeed the fastest way, e.g. by using one of the Total Commander restarter tools from www.totalcmd.net .

Just a quick follow-up to say: brilliant, thanks: I've got it as an icon on my toolbar, and on the menu (with shortcut Ctrl+Alt+F10 which I usually forget, so I click the icon anyway)ts4242 wrote:I faced this problem many times before therefore i have created a little program to close all lister windows, if you like you can try it
