Date Modified vs. Date Created
I had a system crash a while back and now a lot of my pics in D:\My Documents\My Pictures are all dated 6/8/2008 in TC (which should be the day I ghosted it all back from backups).
If you look at the properties of the file there is a Created Date, Modified Date and Accessed Date.
The Created Dates are all 6/8/2008, but the Modified Date seems to show the original date they were DLed to the PC. Is there anyway I can change the Created date to match the Modified date?
I would like to preserve the "Older Date" as I don't use the time stamp on my camera's setting, but still would like some sort of time line on some of my pics.
Thanks,
Unkis

TC shows normally the modified date not the created date!

Thanks for the info. I haven't tried it yet. I realized I was using a custom column mode and the date changes from normal to DirSizeCalc View!
I did notice that the DIR folder dates do remain the 6/8/2008 no matter what, but the files inside the DIR are shown with the Modified Date. Is there any way to change the date on the DIR?

van Dusen's SetFolderDate can be used to set the creation/modified date to the oldest time stamp of the contained files.unkis17 wrote:Is there any way to change the date on the DIR?
Unfortunately the linked version 1.2.2a seems to be the newest available version (newer versions are no longer available from RapidShare)

solid,
Created date is the date when the entry about the file has been made in the FAT (or MFT, etc.). This means that when you copy a file, a new file gets created in the target dir and gets the current date as its Created date.
The rest should be self-explanatory.

Mal angenommen, du drückst Strg+F, wählst die FTP-Verbindung (mit gespeichertem Passwort), klickst aber nicht auf Verbinden, sondern fällst tot um.
