Lister bug?

Post by *frenky »

If this is already reported, please excuse me :)

Open xml file, example can be downloaded here (random google search result, not affiliated in any way :))
http://www.polyglotinc.com/resume/downloadZIP.html

Show text cursor (F6), position cursor before first character.
Press Ctrl+RightShift+End.
The text orientation switches to right-aligned text.

Help states:

Code: Select all

When showing Unicode (UTF-16 or UTF-8) Text, or plain text with Arabic or Hebrew encoding, you can switch to right-aligned text with Ctrl+Right Shift. Switch back to left-aligned text with Ctrl+Left Shift.
So this looks like a bug. TC 7.5 final, WinXp Pro.

Just press RightShift+Ctrl+End in stead of Ctrl+RightShift+End - it matters in what sequence you press Ctrl and Shift...

Hi,
do you have some news on the matter?

I'm using lister and to me it is unnatural to press Shift+Ctrl+End.

E.g. I would press Ctrl+Home to go to beginning and then still holding Ctrl, press Shift+End to select all.

A bit annoying bug... :(

Should be fixed in the upcoming TC 7.51, can one of the beta testers verify it please?

I can reproduce it in 7.50a but not in newest beta (b4)… so it seems to be fixed (at least for me).

I can confirm that Ctrl+Shift+End no longer changes the right-to-left orientation in TC 7.51b4.
