URL copying from FTP connection

Post by *Eamoe »

First post: hi to all proud owners of Total Commander!

One thing I lack (and there aren't many) in TCMD, is this little feature offered by Cyberduck on OSX: when you right-click a file on a distant server, you get the "Copy URL" function, which puts the URL to the file in hypertext transfer protocol format into the clipboard.

Hello, Eamoe.

Menu => Mark => Copy names with path to clipboard.

You may also use the internal command cm_CopyFullNamesToClip and assign a keyboard shortcut to it. Works on FTP servers, too, not just on local drives.

On network shares the internal command cm_CopyNetNamesToClip (Copy names with UNC path) may come in handy.

For files and folders on FTP servers, cm_CopyFullNamesToClip and cm_CopyNetNamesToClip seem to have the same effect.

Kind regards,
Karl
