The first two are known to cause some troubles, see the bug reports forum. Unfortunately we are using OpenOffice here (since I'm mainly a keyboard user, I hate these ribbons), so I cannot currently test what is going on. Any problem with files associated with less expensive programs?

Actually this error seems to be related to all the other association, context menu, and property sheet problems: Exception handling. Seems like there are some exceptions in the code (which are caught by it later). So please try the same with beta 2.
