Access to Android Tablet via TC

Post by *arek1 »

Hi,

When I connecting Sony Tablet S (Android) to Windows 7 through USB I can see it as Mobile device. I can browse files on internal memory in tablet by Windows Explorer but can not see it in Total Commander. Sony Tablet S does not have mass storage option. How I can browse files in Android tablet via TC? I was trying Wiacam plugin but it seems to not working. Any other ideas? Help appreciated :)

You may only access it via virtual folders. Try to find it using small triangle in breadcrumb bar (above panels).

Hello, arek1.

Christian Ghisler explained only a few days ago that due to a small bug, currently you can only use this way: menu item "Commands" => "Open Desktop Folder" => "Computer".

Kind regards,

Thank you,

I thought it is what I need but after trying now I can see Commands->Synchronize dirs not working this way, I can only browse files :(

I am looking for easy way to synchronize files in one filder on my PC with files on Android device. So I thought Synchronization dirs in TC is best tool to achieve it but it looking not.
Do you know after correcting this bug by Christian Ghisler Synchronization dirs will be working this way?

No, you can't use synchronize dirs with virtual folders. Try using my new plugin MediaAudio2:

I'm using SAMBA FileSharing app on my Android device and I've mapped internal storage and SD-Card (on the phone) as network drives.

* It works over WiFi, so no cable or physical connection is required.
* It allows a LOT of features which Virtual folders don't (thumbnails view, sync files, better rate when transfering files -almost the double compared to ADB-, transparent drive-to-drive on TC panels experience, user paths to frequently used dirs on the phone -pictures, downloads, recordings, music, WhatsApp, etc...).

Cheers!
