Location of multiple Background-Task-Windows

Post by *CADweazle »

Hi all

what about a parameter in the wincmd.ini, to control, where the background-task-windows appear.
Actual behavior is from left to right horizontally at the top of the screen.
With modern 16:9 or 16:10 monitors I'd like to see them appear the left or right side from top to bottom vertically.

Did I describe my suggestion to complex??

@ghisler: should be doable simply with a new parameter in the wincmd.ini?!
ShowBackgroundTaskVertical=1

Hello CADweazle,
I assume the suggestion is simple enough to understand, it's just that nobody really sees any need for it.

:D

For sure - there is no NEED!
Would be a little "nice to have".
As the position already gets calculated, it is VERY simple to implement!

For my own part I keep the left side of my desktop windows-free and not the top... so when I have several background-tasks, they get hidden...

Obviously not the best way - on a 4:3 monitor it still remains a problem, but on a 16:9(19)???
