Don't install PIF files on current Windows versions

Post by *karlchen »

Hello, Christian.

Is there any chance that you may teach the Total Commander 8 installer not to install these 6 PIF files to the Windows folder on current Windows versions, even on 64-bit Windows versions?
It is a bit annoying to remove them manually after each update.

Thank you.

I think it should be provided as an option during installation, and installer should remember that option for 'update' mode.

The 64-bit version indeed doesn't install them any more, but the 32-bit still does for compatibilitly reasons. The installer doesn't currently handle 64-bit systems differently than 32-bit.

In 8.0β16 there are no more PIF files in 64-bit distribution. Thanks!
