stepping inside newly created folder

Hi,

When a new folder is created, TC just places cursor on that folder. Would it be possible to have a shortcut key (say Shift+ENTER) in F7 dialog box, so that pressing it would create new folder and TC would automatically go into it?

I know that the new folder is just one press of ENTER away, but on slow network connections I need to wait for refresh to finish before I can get in.

Regards,

Alex

I just thought of something like that - and no, new folder is NO (in some cases) just ONE ENTER away - i very often create paths like e.g. TC\PLUGINS\WLX\IMAGINE\PLUGINS and to enter to last directory i need: ENTER, Down, ENTER, Down, ENTER, Down, ENTER, Down, ENTER.

You can use the extDIR Plugin.

I always think about internal functions not external addons ( this is ADDON not PLUGIN).

Nevertheless it does what you requested.

That's not true.
I request for TC functionality, NOT external tool.
To make long story short: think about TC Menu/show button as menu function - long ago external tool, now internal.
Extend directory create is much simpler.

Also - there is many tools (e. g. Editor extenders) which functionality should be included in TC "out of the box".

No one forces you to follow suggestions from the forum
if you don't like them.
So stay with whatever method you prefer.
One of the best features of TC is the way it can be extended
as long as no internal function is provided.
