Many folder tabs - suggestion to show locked tabs only?

The numbers of folder tabs keep on growing.
It is hard to find the tab I want, when there are too many tabs.

I need to "close all tabs" or "load tabs from file often".
Is there a way to limit the number or only show the locked tabs?
or any suggestions?

You should try "Locked but directory changes allowed". This way Total Commander will never open any tabs by itself.

Also try to play with INI setting LockedTabChange (read more in TOTALCMD.chm, section 4.b). You may tweak TC to reuse existing unlocked tabs when you change dir in locked ones.
